As a small- to medium-size business owner, what gets you out of bed each day? Why did you go into business for yourself? For me the decision was borne out of not wanting to return to the “rat race” of corporate life.
I found this recurring thought disturbing; “what do I have to show for my efforts?” The sad realization was that the meager awards and hollow kudos from faceless executives meant nothing at all. This was the "ah-ha" moment for me.
